Some of it is a bit dated (coupes more Jalop than shooting brakes? not acceptable) but who has the most points in their garage (among running cars). I’ll start:

2003 Murano with -16 points (-11 points I overlooked the throttle body)

1996 Impala SS with 110 points.

(inspired by duurtlang in !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! )

92 points. Still think bastard children of divorced companies should get more points.

EDIT: also I’m unsure if its a 2 or 3 door. It has a hatch …. but its not a “3 door hatchback”.

That article is what caused me to read Jalopnik. That’s why I remembered.

‘88 205 GTi: 85

‘89 BMW 320i (E30) Touring: 115

‘90 Citroën BX diesel: 115 points, despite being a slushbox FWD 4-banger (I’m ignoring the euro-trash diesel comment)

‘00 Peugeot 406 coupe: 125. Pininfarina build Peugeot helps.

‘13 Focus wagon company car (diesel): 0. Despite being a diesel manual wagon. I guessed the number of cupholders and ignored the euro/domestic diesel comment.

In 3 years I’ll be at 25 points.

eh, beaters are kind of the core of Jalop-lyfe. But wagons are criminally underrated by these metrics. Oppo mod’s should organize a new point system.

Excursion - 95 Points. Cupholders killed the score

Cutlass - 185 - Ashtrays and age helped the score a lot. It’d be way higher if the bondo was unpainted.

Dad’s Olds 98 - 200

Olds 88 Vert - 190

3 points for my 2000 Jetta VR6 5MT it helps that I am down to only 3 cup holders. Too bad the engine and transmission are not inside a Golf like I was looking for. (That would be 28 points.)

Automatic/autotragic transmission. I incurred a 100 point penalty for driving a New Beetle. The system is biased. =)
